Almacén 1974 exhibition
When in 1974 César Manrique, together with Pepe Dámaso, Luis Ibáñez and Gerardo Fontes, set up the “Centro Polidimensional El Almacén”, nobody could have imagined that this unprecedented and innovative artistic initiative would mark the future of the cultural panorama of Lanzarote.
This exhibition project deals with what it meant when El Almacén became a catalyst and backbone of the local artistic fabric. This project, part of the programme activities of Manrique 100’s, will be curated by Alejandro Krawietz, Mario Ferrer and Pepe Betancort.
