Playa del Pozo Beach near Playa Quemada, Lanzarote
The approximately 350 meter long Playa del Pozo beach is located about 1 KM south of the Playa de Arena and is best to be reached on foot with a 30 minute serpentine hike over the hills from Playa Quemada, along the coast.
This beach with its dark gray gravel and its cave-like cliffs is mostly completely deserted and without any people at all.
Often locals visit this beach on weekends with their offroad cars by using a difficult dirt track which starts near Femés.
On the medium-hard hike to Playa del Pozo beach, you will have a spectacular view towards the northern tourist resort of Puerto del Carmen, as well as the neighboring islands of Los Lobos and Fuerteventura. For children under 10 years the footpath is rather risky and not suitable.
The beach is particularly suitable for adventurers and nature lovers.
It is, of course, not guarded, and a beach bar, sunbaths, toilets, garbage cans or even showers on the beach del Pozo beach logicaly is not available, so you should bring enough drinking water with you.
